1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for, attending, or participating in the WYBC Global Games, all teams, players, coaches, officials, parents, and representatives agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, along with all related policies published by WYBC.
2. Eligibility & Participation
Participation is open to eligible youth basketball teams that meet the tournament’s age, category, and organizational requirements. WYBC reserves the right to accept or reject applications at its discretion to maintain competitive balance and event standards.
3. Registration & Fees
Registration fees are communicated upon acceptance. All payments must be completed by the stated deadlines. Failure to complete payment may result in withdrawal of acceptance without refund, unless otherwise stated.
4. Event Changes & Cancellation
WYBC reserves the right to make changes to schedules, venues, formats, or rules when necessary due to safety, operational, or unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or modification beyond WYBC’s control, reasonable efforts will be made to communicate updates promptly.
5. Conduct & Discipline
All participants must adhere to the Fair Play & Conduct policy and the Safeguarding & Youth Protection Policy. Unsportsmanlike or inappropriate behavior may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the event.
6. Medical Responsibility
Teams are responsible for ensuring that players are medically fit to compete and have appropriate insurance coverage. WYBC provides on-site medical support but is not responsible for individual medical expenses or long-term care.
7. Liability & Risk Acknowledgment
Participation in sporting activities involves inherent risk. By participating, teams and individuals acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that WYBC shall not be held liable for injuries, losses, or damages except where required by law.
8. Media, Photography & Usage Rights
WYBC may photograph or record matches and events for promotional, broadcast, or archival purposes. By participating, individuals grant WYBC the right to use such media without compensation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Safeguarding & Youth Protection
All participants must comply with WYBC’s Safeguarding & Youth Protection Policy. Any breach may result in immediate action to protect participants and maintain event integrity.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with applicable local laws. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction determined by WYBC.
11. Agreement
By completing registration or participating in the WYBC Global Games, teams and individuals confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
